MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Certification:
Certification as a Dental Assistant or On the job Training Experience with x-ray certification Travel:
Local travel to and from dental center sites, and out of the area travel for conferences or meetings occasionally.
Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office, email/internet and ability to learn other healthcare related software.
PATIENT POPULATION SERVED Serving a diverse population of Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults and Geriatric Adults.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORKING CONDITIONS Requires full range of body motion, finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
Requires standing and sitting for extensive periods of time.
Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
Exposure to conditions common to a dental clinic environment.
JOB PERFORMANCE STANDARDS Job Knowledge:
Must have the ability to work with patients, dental team members, and other PHS employee's.
Must be able to communicate effectively with patients and other dental team members.
Must have organizational skills.
Must have knowledge of dental terminology and dental conditions.
Job Type:
Full-time.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
